Southland’s leading sheet metal fabricators
Sheet Metalcraft is a privately owned and operated sheet metal fabrication company based in Invercargill, New Zealand.
The Company was formed from the former fabrication arm of Southland Engineering in 1978, under the new banner of Sheet Metalcraft, and has grown to become one of the largest sheet metal fabricators in the Southland region.
Evolving with industry demand for quality fabrication
In 1981 the company built a modern new workshop to cater for the increased workload, and has continued to grow with the demand for quality custom sheet metal fabrication.
In February 2000 Ray Manson and Paul Corkery became directors in the Company. “We chose to specialise mostly in the fabrication of stainless steel, enabling us to build custom designed components for a wide range of industry applications,” says Ray “so that whatever our client’s needs are, we are able to fulfil these requirements.”
A second workshop was built, shortly followed by the addition of upgraded administration offices. Sandra Cocker joined the administration team and now runs the office.
Engineering a Southland industry success story
As one of the largest sheet metal fabricators in Southland today, Sheet Metalcraft now employs over 50 talented tradespeople and services a wide local industry base.
Since then, Sheet Metalcraft has built a reputation not only for engineering quality, custom-designed products, but a high level of service to local industries, including Dairy and Meat Processing, Forestry, Aluminium Processing and the Marine industry as well as general and commercial engineering projects such as ducting, hand-rails and balustrades.
